My main objective in participating in the 6th and 7th Challenges was to become free from diabetes, but that goal was not achieved. Therefore, I enrolled in the 8th Challenge. I had hoped to bring my HbA1c below 6%, but I fell slightly short of that target. Even so, whatever success I achieved is entirely due to Dr. Dixit Sir, Dr. Swati, Vishwas Dada, Pune DRC, my colleagues, and my mentors, Kavita Mehendale and Minal Dongavkar.
I first became associated with this movement seven years ago when Dr. Dixit organized a walkathon at Indiranagar, Nashik. I actively and enthusiastically participated in organizing that event. I started following the two-meal lifestyle at that time, although I used to walk only once a week. For the last seven years, I have followed my meal timings with complete discipline. I generally had my first meal around 1:00 p.m. and dinner around 9:00 p.m. I had always been accustomed to morning walks, but during these challenges, I participated wholeheartedly.
While following the Dr. Dixit Lifestyle, I developed discipline in my eating habits. Following the group’s guidance, I gradually included dry fruits, then salads, followed by sprouts, and later made jowar/bajra bhakri with vegetables and dal-rice a regular part of my meals. There were many difficulties along the way, but my determination, the guidance from Dr. Mulamule on how to sustain commitment, and Dr. Dixit’s YouTube videos proved extremely helpful.
I strictly adhered to meal timings and exercise routines even while travelling or staying away from home. I also avoided sweets during social functions and festivals. As a result, I achieved excellent outcomes. The most inspiring aspect of this journey is that my diabetes medication has been reduced by 100%. This has brought immense satisfaction to me and my family. A very significant contribution in this achievement came from my wife, Mrs. Snehal. I dedicate whatever success I have achieved to all the people mentioned above.
I will continue to follow the Dr. Dixit Lifestyle in the same manner. By embracing this lifestyle, I wish to remain a dedicated volunteer in this diabetes-reversal and weight-loss movement and inspire others to transform their lives as well.
