My Transformation Story
In April 2024, I was feeling very weak. I used to feel dizzy often and had no enthusiasm to do any work. During the COVID period, when I had contracted the virus, I was given Remdesivir injections. Since then, I had been experiencing weakness as a side effect. My weight had increased a lot, and compared to my height, I was almost 10 kg overweight.
In April, I went to a doctor in Nanded. He advised me to undergo blood tests, and the reports showed that I had diabetes. I couldn’t believe it. So, I travelled from Nanded to Aurangabad after hearing about Dr. Indurkar, to get a second opinion. After checking my reports, he advised me to start medicines and said I would have to take them for life. Around the same time, I came to know about Dr. Dixit lifestyle and also got information about the Pune centre. I travelled from Nanded to Pune and first visited the centre on 28th May 2024.
Since no one in my family had diabetes, learning that I had it caused me mental stress. But at the Pune centre, I was treated with much more warmth and care than I expected. The team patiently listened to everything I said and gave me complete guidance about the lifestyle. They assured me that my diabetes could definitely be reversed.
Dr. Swati Samant stopped my medicines and reassured me that if I sincerely and regularly followed the lifestyle, I would never need medicines again. Since I had already experienced the side effects of Remdesivir, I did not want to take diabetes medicines for life. This purpose of mine was being fulfilled here.
Within just four months, my HbA1c came down from 6.7% to 5.9%. I also lost 2–3 kg, and I became confident that I would lose more weight going forward.
