Over a period of three months, I participated in the Dr. Dixit lifestyle Challenge and experienced a meaningful transformation in both my health and mindset. I began the journey at 77 kilos and successfully reduced my weight to 71.8 kilos. The core of this program was a disciplined eating pattern—limiting meals to twice a day and following a structured order of consumption: starting with fats, fiber, and protein, and then consuming carbohydrates at the end. This simple yet effective approach played a key role in my progress.

In addition to dietary changes, I incorporated daily walking into my routine. I initially started with 2 to 3 kilometers a day, but gradually increased my endurance and consistency, eventually reaching 7 to 10 kilometers daily. This steady physical activity complemented the diet and significantly contributed to my overall results.

My health markers showed mixed but insightful changes. While my HbA1c moved slightly from 5.5 to 5.8, my fasting insulin improved from 4.5 to 3.6, indicating better metabolic control. Despite attending several social gatherings and even taking a short holiday—where I did indulge in sweets and other foods occasionally—I remained committed to the overall discipline. This demonstrated the flexibility and sustainability of the diet.

I am deeply grateful to my mentors, Ms. Padma and Mr. Bhalachandra Bailur, whose constant guidance and attention to detail kept me accountable. Their daily review of our meal photos ensured we followed the correct food sequence and avoided restricted items like carrots, beetroot, and corn.

Padma Ma’am took keen interest and would check the items in our plates and question if anything was missing and would guide us what not to eat. She was very understanding when we couldn’t walk enough due to health issues. It was a very constructive feedback from our mentors. Our queries were satisfactorily answered always. Am thankful that Mam is also checking our pictures in the group post challenges to keep us motivated.

This journey was not just about weight loss, but about building lasting habits and learning how to take control of my health. Very grateful to Dr. Dixit Sir, Padma Ma’am and Bhalachandra Sir.
