I am a physician by profession and have been practicing allopathy for the past 10 years. Like most doctors, once I began my medical practice, the workload kept increasing, which led to complete neglect of my meals and health. My weight crossed 100 kg, and my blood pressure had risen significantly. I had actually heard about Dr. Dixit in 2017 and tried following his advice after watching his videos. In March 2023, I came to know about the DRC initiative started by Dr. Dixit, and I immediately reported to the center. At that time, my HbA1c was 8.2% and my weight was 99 kg. After joining DRC, I completely stopped my medications, which I had been taking for two years. In six months, I moved from diabetic to prediabetic status. I am still in the prediabetic range. As a doctor, it was easy for me to prescribe medications, but what it truly means to change one’s lifestyle — that I learned from Dr. Dixit and Mr. Gokhale.
Today, I am experiencing a joyful and enthusiastic life. I encourage many of my patients to adopt this lifestyle. I have pledged to follow this way of living for the rest of my life.
